Halloween stands only a week away, and although kids think about what type of candy they’ll get and fret over their costumes, like many Moms, I too worry more about cavities always looking for different ways to keep all of my children brushing and flossing. A night full of sugar and it’s endless days of leftover candy may seem like harmless fun, but statistics show kids miss 51 million school hours each year because of dental-related illness, and pediatric dental disease is the #1 chronic childhood illness. To help with the candy frenzy this month, Listerine and Reach created “October Oral Care Challenge” for kids 6 and older to take with their parents.
In addition Listerine and Reach have also teamed up with America’s Toothfairy to launch “Trick or Treat for America’s Toothfairy,” a campaign to raise awareness of pediatric dental disease and help to underserved children. You can visit America’s Toothfairy to learn more. I also encourage you to click here or above to watch the video about the America’s Tooth Fairy!
Join in and with my family as we take the Listerine and Reach Oral Care challenge this year. As part of the challenge, kids and Moms have to brush, floss and rinse every day, twice a day for three weeks—a key step in building a strong oral care foundation. We all hear about the importance of regular brushing and flossing for your oral care routine, but rinsing with a therapeutic mouthwash for 30 seconds twice daily, an additional but essential activity, helps reach those other parts of the mouth that harbor germs. Be sure to get a Listerine or Reach $1.00 off printable coupon.
Like with any challenge you have to find a product that is right for everyone. Reach has a guide that is family friendly to help you choose the right product if your undecided. Our family has started out with several different products, all pictured above. What is right for one individual might not be right for another. Listerine and Reach has so many different products it makes it easy to find one that is suitable for everyone’s needs.
Right away Jonathan wanted the Reach batman toothbrush and Listerine Batman Smart Rinse. He is so excited to be able to use the charter products. Our family is also going to put up a chart with stickers to help remind everyone about daily about the challenge. I will let you know next week how our family is doing and what products each member decided to use. Stay tuned……
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of LISTERINE and REACH and received products to take the Oral Care Challenge. Mom Central Consulting also sent me a Global Giving gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
